i’ve read my first 40K book, the often recommended Xenos by Dan Abnett. It’s good! it’s honestly a lot better than i was expecting. it doesn’t escape pulpy science fantasy but honestly it doesn’t have to, and it does the job well. i am looking forward to reading more
